Oskar Schindler glaubte, dass das Leben einen Sinn hat, solange man jemanden rettet. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs rettete er als Mitglied der NSDAP das Leben von 1200 Jüdinnen und Juden. Erst lange nach seinem Tod vor 50 Jahren wurde er einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit bekannt.
